Depart for Monteagudo – Approximately 7 hours driving with 4 stops

Sightseeing in Rio Grande, Itapi, Cordillera del Incahuasi, Muyupampa

Check-in at Hostal La Mansion

Work Project Orientation


Day 3

Breakfast and Orientation

Three teams will spend 6 hours collecting data in local communities; indigenous, urban, and village.  Groups will return for 2-hour afternoon debriefing as a cohort.

Depart for Santa Cruz by bus (Night travel 8 hours)


Day 5

Arrive in Santa Cruz back to Continental Park Hotel

Visit museums, handicraft, Feria de Barrio Lindo (local market)

Evening dinner in la Casa del Camba, enjoy local music & dancing


Day 6

Breakfast

Depart for San Javier

Check-In at Hotel Momoqui   

Lunch with Central Indigena / Local Authorities

Meeting with Chiquitanian Youth Group -JICHI Jóvenes Indigenas Chiquitanos

Dinner and cultural session with a local youth orchestra


Day 7

Breakfast and Orientation: Visit to Buena Vista and Aguas calientes

Three teams will spend 6 hours collecting data in local communities; indigenous, urban, and village.  Groups will return for 2-hour afternoon debriefing as a cohort.

Dinner and cultural session with Tamborita music


Day 8   

Depart for Monte Verde Protected Area – 2.5 hour drive

Support Local Community in Forest Management Plan

Work Project Day in Rain Forest Protected Zone

Return to San Javier

Dinner and Swimming


Day 9

Breakfast

Urban work: mapping services and social needs (one small group)

Strategy and mind-mapping session for future project design

Meeting with Mayor and Local Municipal Council to present ideas


Day 10

Teams will spend 4 hours collecting data in local communities, will return for 2-hour afternoon debriefing as a cohort.

Transfer to Concepcion:  Check-in Hotel Oasis Chiquitano  

Visit to Local authorities Meeting with the Municipal Mayor

Visit urban sites / mapping of a services and social infrastructure


Day 11

Transfer to Lomerio – teams disperse to begin data collection

Visit women’s textile factory

Return to Santa Cruz


Day 12

Depart for Samaipata “Little Machu Pichu”

Lunch at El Pueblito Hotel

Return to Santa Cruz
